Here are codes that you will find on your warranty plate located on your drivers
door. This is also known as the data plate. Sometimes this is all you have to go
on when restoring your car. The best source of info is the original window sticker.
If that’s not available maybe you can find your build sheet. On Fairlanes the most
common location for it is under the seat between the springs and foam. Check the
rear seats also. There is usually another one somewhere under the carpeting or
rubber mats, if so equipped. Unfortunately this copy is almost always unreadable
just from getting in the car with wet shoes at the least. I have found a copy up
in the dash before so look around. If your car is unmolested than it's a good
chance it still there. If you still can not find any of the codes contact me
